What we fix

Real problems, real fixes

Full sewer line replacement is the right call when your existing line is past the point where spot repairs make sense. Common triggers: multiple failed sections along the same line, aging clay tile or Orangeburg pipe reaching the end of its service life, recurring backups despite repeated cleaning, or a full-collapse situation. It's a significant project, but it's a one-time fix that resets the clock for 50+ years on a modern PVC or HDPE line.

We handle the whole project: camera inspection and scope, permitting with the jurisdiction, coordination with utility locates, excavation or trenchless execution, pipe installation, pressure testing, inspection, and surface restoration. Where trenchless methods (pipe bursting, CIPP lining) are feasible, we'll walk you through the trade-offs vs. open-trench. They often spare landscape and hardscape while still delivering a full-line fix.

Typical project timeline is 2–5 days on site, depending on method, length, and access. We give you a clear schedule before work begins and daily updates while it's underway.

Pricing Range

How much does sewer line replacement cost in the Phoenix Valley?

Every job is a little different. The final price depends on the condition of your system, the scope of the work, and the parts required. That said, here's an honest starting range so you can plan. We'll always walk you through the full estimate before any work begins, and the price you see is the price you pay.

Low: $5,000

Average: $8,500

High: $25,000

Honest range based on real recent jobs. Final price is locked in during your on-site diagnostic — what you see is what you pay.

What factors affect the cost of sewer line replacement?

  1. Line length and depth

Longer lines cost more to replace. Materials, labor, and surface restoration all scale with length. Depth matters too: lines buried deeper (often under hardscape or at fall slopes) take longer to access. We measure both precisely at the estimate.

  2. Method: open trench vs. trenchless

Open-trench is typically less expensive per foot on simple runs, especially under lawn. Trenchless costs more per foot but can save major costs on surface restoration when the line runs under driveways, patios, or mature trees. We'll run both numbers for your specific situation.

  3. Surface restoration scope

A sewer line beneath grass is typically straightforward to restore. Lines located under concrete, pavers, asphalt, or established landscaping may require additional restoration work such as concrete replacement, paver relay, or landscape repair. While these restoration services are generally outside our scope, we can help coordinate with trusted vendors as needed.

Diagnostic & Estimates

We start with a camera inspection and written report to confirm that full replacement (not spot repair) is the right call and to scope the project precisely. Inspection cost is credited toward the project if you move forward.

What to Expect

Our Process

The same three-step rhythm on every job. Diagnose first, price up front, then do the work and stand behind it.

1

Step 1: Camera inspection and full project scope

We inspect and document the existing line, map the replacement path, identify all surface impacts, and prepare a written scope with open-trench and trenchless options where both are feasible. Timelines, permits, and restoration costs are all spelled out upfront.

2

Step 2: Permit, utility locates, and scheduling

Once approved, we pull the plumbing permit, coordinate 811 utility locates, and schedule the work, typically within 1–2 weeks. We confirm access, timeline, and any water-service interruptions before start.

3

Step 3: Replacement, testing, inspection, and restoration

We execute the replacement per plan, verify proper flow and operation of the new line, and have the work inspected and approved by the jurisdiction where required. Backfilling, grading, and surface restoration are completed per the scope of work.

Testimonial

"Will be using again."

The communication from Superstition Plumbing, was outstanding. They sent a text advising me of my appointment, and they texted me with a photo of the technician, Jeremy, letting me know when he was enroute. Jeremy explained everything he was going to do, and went over the cost. Jeremy completed the work in a timely manner, and he cleaned up after he was done. I will be using Superstition Plumbing, again, in the future.
